THE TRANSPORTATION OF HORSES FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION

FEDERAL BILL TO BAN SLAUGHTER INTRODUCED HR 3781

American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act Introduced by Maryland Congresswoman Connie Morrelli on Feb. 4, 2002. To prevent the slaughter of horses in and from the United States for human consumption by prohibiting the slaughter of horses for human consumption and by prohibiting the trade and transport of horseflesh and live horses intended for human consumption, and for other purposes.

REP. REYNOLDS OF NEW YORK INTRODUCES BILL TO PROHIBIT THE TRANSPORT OF HORSES TO SLAUGHTER.

H.R. 2622 introduced 7/25/2001. To prohibit the interstate transport of horses for the purpose of slaughter or horse flesh intended for human consumption, and for other purposes.
